Why I love Avoca Beach

Avoca Beach is a local gem for those who love sand, sun, and surf. If you're up for some beachside adventure, exploring the beachside markets, or grabbing a coffee at one of the many cozy cafes, Avoca Beach has it all. 

With a long stretch of golden sand between two stunning headlands, life here really revolves around the beach. You can check out the rock pool at the southern end or even learn to surf with the Central Coast Surf Academy.

For experienced divers, there’s the Ex-HMAS Adelaide artificial reef—a warship sunk in 2011, now resting 32 meters below the surface.

And just across from the beach, you’ll find Avoca Lake, where you can hire a kayak, pedal boat, or paddleboard from Aquafun and explore the peaceful lagoon or coastal wetlands. The lake is also perfect for swimming or fishing, with bream and whiting often on the line. It’s a slice of coastal paradise, no doubt!
