What was your past experience before joining the team? How many years experience do you have in the finance industry as a mortgage broker?

Ethics are very important to me as a former Police Officer. Owned and operated a boutique estate agency before ultimately selling the commercial rent roll to pursue opportunities in finance. After moving into Financial Planning - realised it was the finance side that I was passionate about and not the insurance aspects. Feel I can help people more in mortgage broking than in financial planning.

Chris, what is your role in the business?

I am a Mortgage Broker.

Why did you choose to become a Mortgage Broker?

Passionate about helping people to achieve their goals. Whether it be saving money on interest, positioning to buy a first home or to build wealth through investments while utilising finance.

Did you always know that you wanted to be a Mortgage Broker?

After studying business finance and property and obtaining multiple post-graduate qualifications, I’ve always been attracted to finance, numbers and analytical aspects of the role however Mortgage Broking offers the perfect blend of research and human interaction. I love getting to know my customers and helping them to achieve their desired outcomes.

Why should someone choose you rather than going to a bank?

I’ll go above and beyond for my customers, will explore more options, provide an enjoyable experience that aims to reduce the complexity and save customers both time and money.

Do you charge a fee for your services?

Have you always lived in Williamstown?

Originally from Melbourne, I spent a number of years living in regional Victoria while in the Police Force and some time interstate and overseas before relocating to Williamstown around 10 years ago.

What’s your favourite thing about living in Williamstown?

Enjoy the close proximity and easy access to the city. Cafes/restaurants. The beach. And the big one is being close to the Bay.

If someone was to visit Williamstown, what are the top 3 things you recommend they do?

Enjoy a delicious dinner / fine dining experience overlooking the beach, walk through the botanical gardens, hop on a yacht and go for a sail.

When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?

Avid traveler - enjoyed traveling across India on a Rickshaw, Climbing Mt Kinabalu in Borneo, exploring the history of Europe and sailing in our own backyard in the Whitsundays.
