Sam brings nearly a decade of extensive expertise in banking and finance to the table. His professional journey has taken him across major lenders, the mutual space, and specialized lending realms throughout Victoria and New South Wales. Armed with an impressive educational background, Sam has completed his Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, Diploma in Finance Broking, and an MBA with a specialization in corporate finance. Beyond the financial world, Sam finds joy in the culinary arts, relishing the creativity of cooking. An avid sports enthusiast, he revels in the adrenaline of various sports activities. However, his favourite moments are spent with his cherished wife and beloved dog.

When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?

I enjoy spending time with my wife and our labradoodle called Hot Chocolate. I also enjoy weekends away at the beach as a family and trying new foods!

 

What was your past experience before joining the team? 

Previous to becoming a broker, I have worked for nearly a decade in the banking and finance industry. I have previously supported thousands of broker businesses myself across Victoria, NSW, and Tasmania to achieve the best outcomes for their clients. I have also completed my MBA where I specialised in Corporate Finance. I love supporting families and businesses directly as a broker and have never looked back!

 

Why should someone choose you rather than going to a bank?

The main reason is that as a mortgage broker I am legally required to work in your best interests and explore a number of options (from different lenders) to find a solution that suits you best. Banks on the other hand are businesses with shareholders, and unfortunately they answer to those shareholders and not the customers. Everything we do is about getting the right outcome for you. 

The other reasons I would say that using a broker is preferable to a bank is choice and also service. We have over 60 lenders on our panel and have access to hundreds of products for all different types of client requirements. If you’ve previously been pushed back on by the bank, we can help find a lender that will say yes.

 

What support do you offer your clients?

Our team includes credit analysts and support staff who are experts in every aspect of the property buying and refinancing process, providing support every step of the way. From determining your borrowing capacity and finding the perfect property, to coordinating with real estate agents and navigating the post-settlement period, we make the loan process simple and easy. But our services go far beyond that, including assistance with conveyancers, insurance, and more. We also offer access to our comprehensive network of professionals, such as buyers advocates, conveyancers, financial advisers, builders, and accountants, to be our clients' first port of call for any financial requirement they may have throughout the different stages of the process.

 

What types of loans or clients do you work with the most?

We have a very diverse group of customers and as a result we have experience in a lot of different areas. We have close relationships with financial advisers so we specialise in equity release for investment, debt recycling and debt restructuring. We also have experiences with trust and SMSF lending which is a requirement of our more sophisticated clients. We also have a strong network of first home buyer clients that we work with and this is driven through self-generated referrals and word of mouth recommendations from our happy clients. So whatever you’re looking for - we’re ready to get stuck in.

 

Do you charge a fee for your services?

In almost all scenarios you are not required to pay a fee for our services. Instead, we’re paid a commission by the lender you choose through. Learn more here or get in touch if you have any questions.
