Get to know Ben Williams
It may sound cliche, but I am passionate about finances. It wasn’t always this way - my first passion was cars, but that is a story for another day. I started out as a credit assessor and customer service officer with one of Adelaide’s largest mortgage broking companies in 2006 and the rest, as they say, is history. I was hooked. I became a broker in 2010 and branched out on my own in 2014.
What do I love about being a broker? I love helping people from all walks of life, whether they are buying a home, wanting to start or expand their business, purchase a new car or simply get their finances in order. I love that moment where I show my clients a better deal than they were expecting, helping them achieve their dream or put more money back into their pockets instead of the banks’. I love seeing the penny drop as I walk them through their options and they realise they really can hit their goals while I make the process simpler from day one. As a broker, my clients’ best interest is my best interest. I work for them, not the banks and I play hardball with over 60 lenders to get the right result for the client. Importantly to me, I want to make sure my clients understand why certain products may be right for them so they can feel confident in their decision. And have excellent conversation at the next barbecue they attend.
When I’m not working, I’m enjoying time with my beautiful wife & daughter, playing guitar, watching pretty much any type of sport or playing football or cricket for my local sporting club.
