A Q&A with Cath Crisp
Tell us about your journey in the Finance Industry
Previous to my role with Loan Market Excel, I worked for the aggregator Loan Market Corporate for 17 years. During my time there, I had a variety of roles starting as the State Administrator for QLD and WA. I then moved into the role of National training Manager and then finally as a Business Development Manager, looking after a portfolio of brokers throughout Queensland. The experience I gained in all of these roles prepared me to be able to create processes and support Adam to grow his team to what it is today.
What do you find the most satisfying aspect of your role?
The most satisfying aspect of my role is the people and the culture that we have at Loan Market Excel. Everyone is hard working, experienced in lending and so dedicated, that it makes my job a pleasure to work with them all. Our clients get the first hand experience of working with the Broker team and this has led to over 150 five star reviews, so we have plenty of happy customers. I manage in the background making sure our administration team is supported, that our data and compliance is accurate, that we’re front of mind when it comes to socials and marketing and the team has all that they need, so they can be as efficient as possible for our clients.
What would you say would be your biggest strength?
.I think my biggest strength would be adaptability to change. I’m never afraid of change and being in this industry now for over 20 years, the technology that is now available to brokers and clients, makes the loan process so much easier.
When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?
I do like to have quiet weekends, as the weekdays are pretty busy. I train 3 mornings a week, 1 morning as a family. I cook most nights for my husband and 2 children but I do like to cook, so I will often try a new recipe on a Sunday. I like to catch up with friends as often as possible and enjoy a cold prosecco.
