We genuinely care about our customers today, tomorrow and into the future. With many years of sales experience, Marilyn is our caring After Settlements Care Officer for all our existing clients. She brings her bubbly personality to assist our existing clients in ensuring they are continually looked after for their existing loans. She also hand writes the very important birthday cards!!

A Q&A with Marilyn Wallace-Harrison

Tell us about your journey that brought you to the role of Customer Care Co-Ordinator

My career started as a secondary school teacher, then after having 3 boys under the age of 4, I decided to work part time - a Tupperware salesperson! That led to a 25 year career in Direct selling, sales, training and developing sales teams. Executing corporate functions and seminars - customer service at its best. My final 15 years to retirement was spent in the school uniform supplies business, working directly with Uniform Shop managers building and maintaining large accounts in both Private and Public schools. I retired for 4 weeks - got very bored and asked Adam if he had a job for me. The rest is history.

What do you find the most satisfying aspect of your role?

I enjoy the relationship building with post settlement clients, Business Development Managers from the lenders which gets us the best results for rate reviews, refinance options and valuations for our clients. It doesn’t matter what type of loan our clients have, whether it be Owner Occupied, Investment or construction, we always review our clients loan to ensure they’re on a competitive rate for their loan type. I enjoy problem solving and negotiation.

What would you say would be your biggest strength?

I have been told I make clients, staff and even call centre people smile! Mainly from loving what I do and following through on promises.

When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?

Spending quality time with my husband, family, and friends (grandchildren especially) and friends.

I have bought and sold many properties over the last thirty five years. Kevin at Loan Market was recommended by a friend for a more complex loan required to service a business structure.
