Q&A with Jarryd
What was your past experience before joining the team? How many years experience do you have in the finance industry as a mortgage broker?
No experience before entering into finance, however, strong experience in customer service. I’ve been in the industry for 11 years now and I can’t see myself in any other position.
Why did you choose to become a broker?
I enjoy helping others create wealth in property, enabling them to have the life they can dream of.
Did you always know that you wanted to be a broker?
No, I started this role in my early 20s and since then I thoroughly enjoy every year after that as I continue to build relationships with existing clients.
Why should someone choose you rather than going to a bank?
I genuinely care in my clients and their best interests - I'll do whatever works best for them and will always point them in the right direction for the right financial solution tailored to fit their individual circumstances.
What is your favourite thing about being a broker?
My favorite part of this role undoubtedly, is continuing to help the same client going through each phase of their lives and supporting their plan. Whether they build up a portfolio to set up a better retirement plan, or, buying a bigger home as they begin to start a family.
What support do you offer your clients?
We have 4 support staff who will always be available to our clients for whatever they need in their home loans moving forward. We continuously negotiate to lower rates for our clients at their existing bank every 6 months under a variable home loan.
We offer personal loans, car loans and any other asset finance required to support customers in this need.
What types of loans or clients do you work with the most?
We mostly help people purchase an owner-occupied home, whether it be their first home or next home.
Do you charge a fee for your services?

Important question that everyone will want to know the answer to - if you’re going for dinner/breakfast/coffee somewhere in Melbourne, where are you going?
Coffee - sourdough cafe in Seddon, almond cappuccino with honey.
Dinner - anywhere with great Japanese food, Kisume, or shop ramen.
Have you always lived in Melbourne?
I’m lived mostly in the west however we are away exploring Victoria almost every weekend. Particularly, in the Mornington Peninsula as we lived in Sorrento during the pandemic.
What’s your favourite thing about living in Melbourne?
Like a true Melbournian, I love the cafes and night life. On the weekends, we escape to the beach acorss Victoria.
When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?
Away with my family at our little caravan located in McCrae.
