Meet Liz, our experienced and dedicated mortgage broker who is passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals. With over 16 years of experience in the industry, including 8 years as a branch manager at a major bank, (Liz has a wealth of knowledge and expertise when it comes to home loans. 

She loves working with first-home buyers and helping them navigate the complex lending landscape to achieve their dream of homeownership. Liz is also passionate about helping clients purchase their first or second investment property and assisting people in refinancing their mortgage to save money on interest rates (who doesn’t love more money in their pocket and less in the banks?). She takes the time to get to know each client's unique circumstances and works with them to identify tangible goals and develop a plan to achieve them. Liz is proud of the relationships she has built with clients over the years and has a network of trusted accountants, conveyancers, solicitors, and financial planners to ensure clients are supported every step of the way.

Do you charge a fee for your services?

In almost all scenarios you are not required to pay a fee for our services. Instead, we’re paid a commission by the lender you choose through. Learn more here or get in touch if you have any questions.

What is your favourite thing about being a broker?

We really do change people's lives by making homeownership an achievable goal.  'Knowledge is power' and in my position simplifying things and educating my clients so that they can get a stable roof over their head brings me joy.  Homeownership is the Aussie dream and knowing that I can work with my clients to make that a reality is really special.

Why should someone choose you rather than going to a bank?

The main reason is that as a mortgage broker I am legally required to work in your best interests and explore a number of options (from different lenders) to find a solution that suits you best. Banks on the other hand are businesses with shareholders, and unfortunately they answer to those shareholders and not the customers. Everything we do is about getting the right outcome for you.  

The other reasons I would say that using a broker is preferable to a bank is choice and also service. We have over 60 lenders on our panel and have access to hundreds of products for all different types of client requirements. If you’ve previously been pushed back on by the bank, we can help find a lender that will say yes.

What support do you offer your clients?

Our team of 8 brokers and 14 support staff are experts in every aspect of the property buying and refinancing process, providing support every step of the way. From determining your borrowing capacity and finding the perfect property, to coordinating with real estate agents and navigating the post-settlement period, we make the loan process simple and easy. But our services go far beyond that, including assistance with conveyancers, insurance, and more. We also offer access to our comprehensive network of professionals, such as buyers advocates, conveyancers, financial advisers, builders, and accountants, (see more here). to be our clients' first port of call for any financial requirement they may have throughout the different stages of the process.

What types of loans or clients do you work with the most?

I have a real thing for first-home buyers, with so many complicated government schemes and offerings it's really easy to get lost and confused.  Following on from this helping clients purchase their first/second investment property is also really rewarding.  With all the rate changes in the market we are also helping a lot of people refinance their mortgage to lower their interest rate and save money.  With the cost of living right now, this has never been so important.

When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?

I have four beautiful children so it goes without saying that takes up a little bit of my time. When I'm not with my family, I love to indulge in my hobbies like spending time at the beach, bush walking, and stand-up paddle boarding.

I also enjoy unwinding with friends over a glass of wine and playing tennis.
