Questions About Your Role and Experience

What was your past experience before joining the team? How many years’ experience do you have in the finance industry as a mortgage broker?

I got my first job with NAB at 16 and have been in banking and finance ever since – over 40 years. I have been in home loan lending for about 18 years.

What is your role in the business?

I am the Business Manager but am also an accredited mortgage broker and love getting involved in loan applications any time I can.

Why should someone choose you rather than going to a bank?

As a broker, we get to look at multiple lenders and choose the one that best suits our customers. Banks take a much narrower approach and don’t have the same obligations to put the customer first that brokers do. What is your favourite thing about being a broker?

I love supporting the brokers and having a part in making our business run better every day. I take great satisfaction in ensuring all our clients are cared for from the very beginning to the very end of their home loan journey.

Do you charge a fee for your services?

If you’re going for dinner/breakfast/coffee somewhere in Melbourne’s north, where are you going?

Drive down Plenty Road from Uni Hill to Preston and there are just too many great places to choose from – but nothing quite beats a hot jam doughnut from the Kingsbury Drive Market on a cold Sunday morning.

Have you always lived in Melbourne?

I grew up in the beautiful seaside town of Inverloch but have lived in Melbourne’s north for over 30 years now.

What’s your favourite thing about living in Melbourne’s north?

Everything I need is at my doorstep – we have great parks for walking Percy, Preston Market down the road, and some amazing local restaurants and cafés. It’s a vibrant, friendly area that feels like home.

When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?

You can find me on the Mornington Peninsula where I love to spend time with my family and our beautiful dog Percy – either on the beach or relaxing on our back deck with a nice cold glass of wine.
