Q&A with Aaron

Have you always lived in Shailer Park?

I am originally from Cronulla, Sydney but have been living in Shailer Park for 15 years now. I grew up on the coast and to my amazement I even did 4 years in the outback of Mt Isa traveling remotely to mine sites and corporate locations throughout Queensland and Northern Territory.

What do you love about Shailer Park?

Shailer Park has a great local vibe. We have lived and worked here for 15 years and will still choose to be here in the years to come. The locality of the Daisy Hill forest at your doorstep with its abundance of birds and wildlife is such a bonus many take for granted. Many self-employed and small business owners reside here and it's a vibrant community with a lot going on. We are situated in the enviable position of the adjoining motorways taking you N.E,S or West at the drop of a hat. We somehow miss the awe-inspiring storms SEQ is renowned for on our quarter acres of the great Australian dream. Shailer Park is a lovely spot we are very passionate about.

When you’re not working, where will people find you?

With my 4 year old son Reginald, wife Tina, Jack Russell puppy Astro or my mother Robyn. I love building forts and adventure equipment for my son. Enjoy my motorsport and a quick squirt around the block in my classic car. I have a passion for WWII and history. I also love property and investing, travel and self education.

What wouldn’t we expect to know about you?

I played rugby league for 10 years. I still hold the record for the largest flounder caught off Kurnell. I was an A grade tennis player many years ago.

What was your proudest achievement?

The sale & finance of $200M of asset/equipment finance.
