Q&A with Graham;

What was your past experience before joining the team?

Prior to joining the finance industry, I was a police officer in NSW for over 20 years, working in frontline roles in Sydney City and on the Northern Beaches, complex investigative roles and country policing in Narooma on the NSW Far South Coast

Why did you choose to become a mortgage broker?

I’ve found that mortgage broking is a lot like policing, it is about investigating the facts, helping people, and finding solutions to problems, with a lot less danger involved.

What support do you offer your clients?

I offer a prompt and personalised service, with a strong emphasis on regular communication and education. I see myself as a guide on the clients journey, walking with them from the moment they set a financial goal until after that goal has been achieved.

What types of loans or clients do you work with the most?

Because of my background in law enforcement, I have a deep connection and understanding of frontline emergency service workers and military personnel.I have strong family and friend connections in Sydney and travel there often, so I enjoy the flexibility to work with clients in South Australia and NSW.

 My focus is on residential loans, helping people get into their first or next home, refinancing or building an investment portfolio.

Do you charge a fee for your services?

In almost all scenarios you are not required to pay a fee for our services. Instead, we’re paid a commission by the lender you choose through. Learn more here or get in touch if you have any questions.

Have you always lived in Wynn Vale?

I grew up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and spent 7 years living in Narooma on the NSW Far South Coast. I moved to Wynn Vale in Adelaide’s North East in 2020 at the height of the Covid pandemic. I knew nothing about Adelaide before moving here, and not once have I regretted my choice of location to set myself up.

What’s your favourite thing about living in Wynn Vale?

I love Wynn Vale as it is very similar to Narooma, everything is close by and we are completely surrounded by nature that is easily accessible to everyone.

When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?

I am a strong believer in “healthy body-healthy mind”, so I spend plenty of my spare time in the gym at Adelaide Oval. I love adventure sports including sailing, snowboarding, surfing and trail bike riding. I am also a volunteer “puppy educator” with See Differently - The Royal Society for the Blind. I raise and train puppies destined to be guide or PTSD service dogs from the age of around 8 weeks until they are ready to enter their formal training. I find this work extremely rewarding.
