Shilo started her career in retail banking over a decade ago, and ultimately became a Big 4 Branch manager who led her team to award winning success. Not content with kicking goals in just one part of finance, Shilo moved to broking where her razor-sharp intellect could provide a more specialised service to her clients. She loves working in all types of residential lending from first home buyers to seasoned investors expanding their portfolio. Her success comes from understanding that every customer interaction is novel, and requires a build from the ground up approach to maximise the best possible outcomes.
Shilo is a mother of two beautiful girls, and takes setting an example of kindness and hard work really seriously. She travelled Europe and Asia extensively in her twenties, and has developed a love for fashion and art (it’s a continental thing; you really have to travel to get it, you know?). Do you charge a fee for your services?
In almost all scenarios you are not required to pay a fee for our services. Instead, we’re paid a commission by the lender you choose through. Learn more here or get in touch if you have any questions.
Why should someone choose you rather than going to a bank?
The main reason is that as a mortgage broker I am legally required to work in your best interests and explore a number of options (from different lenders) to find a solution that suits you best. Banks on the other hand are businesses with shareholders, and unfortunately they answer to those shareholders and not the customers. Everything we do is about getting the right outcome for you.
The other reasons I would say that using a broker is preferable to a bank is choice and also service. We have over 60 lenders on our panel and have access to hundreds of products for all different types of client requirements. If you’ve previously been pushed back on by the bank, we can help find a lender that will say yes.

Our team of 8 brokers and 14 support staff are experts in every aspect of the property buying and refinancing process, providing support every step of the way. From determining your borrowing capacity and finding the perfect property, to coordinating with real estate agents and navigating the post-settlement period, we make the loan process simple and easy. But our services go far beyond that, including assistance with conveyancers, insurance, and more. We also offer access to our comprehensive network of professionals, such as buyers advocates, conveyancers, financial advisers, builders, and accountants, (see more here). to be our clients' first port of call for any financial requirement they may have throughout the different stages of the process.
What types of loans or clients do you work with the most?
My current work centres on helping clients refinance and navigate the exciting journey of purchasing their first home. Drawing on my extensive experience at ANZ, I specialise in facilitating unsecured personal loans and guiding clients through the property acquisition process with ease.

When you’re not working, what do you spend your time doing?
When I'm not working, my focus is on my two young daughters. I love nothing more than spending quality time with them, exploring the world and creating memories together. We spend our days off cooking up a storm, unleashing our creative side through art and fashion and heading to the beach for some fun in the sun.
